Main Content

Thriving Waukesha County Alliance (TWCA) brought 30 Waukesha County nonprofit Executives and Board members together for a Collaborative Partnerships symposium on March 4.

The purpose of the event was to build a common understanding of the spectrum of collaborative partnerships, highlight best practice and potential barriers, and challenge Waukesha nonprofits to explore potential strategic partnerships to build capacity in the health and human services sector.

The program included a presentation by Dennis Johnson with Forward Community Investments and was followed by a panel highlighting significant collaborative partnerships in Waukesha County.  Panelists included:

  • Tom Shanahan, VP of Human Resources for Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin
  • Bob Glowacki, CEO/President of Easter Seals
  • Dennis Johnson, Forward Community Investments
  • Jerry Habanek, Police Sergeant, Waukesha Police Department

These panelists shared their innovative and creative partnerships with Waukesha County nonprofit leaders to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of service delivery to the clients.

Thriving Waukesha County Alliance continues to offer educational opportunities for Waukesha County nonprofit leaders to build capacity within their organizations as well as the health and human services sector as a whole. The landscape has changed, and efficiencies must be identified in order for clients to continue receiving critically needed services.
