Latina Resource Center, Safe Dates

Funded Program

Latina Resource Center: Will allocate a Youth Advocate to provide direct advocacy services to victims and coordinate additional services with a Community Response Team that serves sexually exploited youth in Milwaukee. The program will establish and facilitate youth groups with focus on teaching wellness, leadership and healthy relationships to group participants. The Youth Advocate will also lead the groups in designing a community youth outreach and education campaign to increase awareness of youth sex trafficking and exploitation in Milwaukee and surrounding communities. Safe Dates: Providing evidence-based Safe Dates curricula to impact Hispanic youth between the ages of 11-18 years-old who live on Milwaukee’s near south side and how live near or below poverty level. (Healthy Youth Initiative)
