Lincoln Avenue Elementary

Milwaukee, WI 53215

Projects: Volunteers will assist in the creation and packing of Parent Engagement kits as well as completing outdoor beautification projects on the schoolyard.

United Way's annual Day of Action, presented by the Emerging Leaders, is a family-friendly volunteer opportunity where hundreds of individuals in our community harness the volunteer spirit to improve local conditions and build stronger communities to live in.

A variety of hands-on activities that serve our community partner agencies and the youth that attend various programming there take place annually on June 21st.

In the past, Day of Action volunteers have created literacy kits consisting of books and games to encourage reading; planted garden beds to foster civic pride and promote affordable, healthy food choices; assembled a Born Learning Trail in the 53206 zip code to encourage caregivers and communities to engage with young children in a fun, outdoor learning experience; and much more!
