Holiday Giving Tree
In 2020, United Way's goal for the Holiday Giving Tree remains the same: to share gifts with our neighbors that may otherwise go without. Last year, over 10,000 gifts were shared with your help! This year we hope we can do the same.
For the safety of volunteers, families, staff and our community, our Holiday Giving Tree effort will be virtual. Individual donations of $30 will be used to purchase and directly ship the requested gifts to the participating nonprofits for distribution to the individuals and families they serve. Whenever possible, United Way plans to purchase gifts from Black-owned businesses, small businesses, and women-owned businesses in our region. Sample gift items purchased with donations will include youth games and activities, books, gift baskets filled with candy and hot chocolate, wellness items such as soaps and lotions, clothing and winter gear, and local restaurant gift cards.
Donate $30 to purchase a gift for a community member in need this holiday season. As we reach our goal we'll be coloring in the snow globe to track our progress!
Thank you to all those who donated in 2020. Our fundraising effort for gifts is now closed. To support United Way's great work consider a gift to the Community Fund.
Write a note to share a holiday wish and brighten the season of community members.
