Why ManpowerGroup Sponsors a Yearly Loaned Executive

2015 Loaned Executives

July 17, 2017

ManpowerGroup, a longtime partner of United Way, has sponsored a Loaned Executive for United Way’s annual Community Campaign for several years. We talked with Nafessa Jackson, Community Investment Program Manager at ManpowerGroup, about why they choose to renew their commitment to the “LE” program each year.

Why did ManpowerGroup decide to sponsor a Loaned Executive through United Way?

ManpowerGroup supports the efforts of United Way because we believe they are careful stewards of the money we donate. These dollars help make a significant impact to our local communities. United Way and corporate partners like ManpowerGroup can’t do this alone! With the support of the sponsors like ManpowerGroup, United Way will be able to train Loaned Executives to serve as primary liaisons to support workplace giving campaigns throughout the community. As the experts in the World of Work, partnering with United Way Loaned Executive program gives ManpowerGroup the opportunity to share our expertise on leadership, sales support, and effective communication styles.

Why is the Loaned Executive position a good opportunity for local job seekers?

The Loaned Executive role could be a great opportunity for any job seeker as it has multiple opportunities for networking. Whether you’re a retiree, candidate seeking part-time employment, or stay-at-home parent, this role places you with key leaders in the community. It gives job seekers the work-life balance they need to juggle personal commitments and provides a steady income. Most Loaned Executives I’ve spoken to feel honored to have served in the role as it’s a unique opportunity to make a difference in their community!

What is the benefit to ManpowerGroup’s business in supporting the United Way Loaned Executive program?

When you think about the benefit to the ManpowerGroup organization as we support the Loaned Executive program, it aligns perfectly with our company’s pillars:

  1. Ready for Work – developing employability for tomorrow’s talent
  2. Skilling Up – building new skills for a fast-changing World of Work
  3. Integrating and Including – nurturing diversity in the workplace

What would you say to another business leader about the Loaned Executive program?

Sponsoring the Loaned Executive program gives you an opportunity to strengthen your ties to our local community. We’re excited to be involved again this year!
