United Way News: November 2017

Welcome, Amy!

Last month, United Way of Greater Milwaukee & Waukesha County proudly announced the appointment of Amy Lindner as president of the organization, effective January 1, 2018. Most recently, Amy served as the executive director of Meta House, a Milwaukee-based non-profit whose mission is to end the generational cycle of addiction by healing women and strengthening families.

"We conducted a rigorous search process," says Greg Marcus, president & CEO of The Marcus Corporation and current chairman of United Way’s board, "Amy is a strategic thinker experienced in managing complexity and solving problems."

Current president & CEO Mary Lou Young will stay on as CEO until January of 2019, at which time Amy will be named president & CEO.

Also effective January 1, 2018, Gina Santagati will assume the role of VP – Resource Development for United Way and Linda McFerrin will transition to a new role as VP – Special Projects.

“Gina is extremely talented and has excellent leadership skills,” says McFerrin, “she is well respected as a United Way professional both locally and nationally. She will do a great job leading the Resource Development team to new heights!”
