The Emerging Leaders hosted a panel on Generational Inclusiveness in the Workplace on August 15. The 75 attendees got insight on mentorship, communication between generations, and diversity within the groups. On July 26, LINC met at the Newsroom Pub for a LINC. DRINK.THINK. happy hour. The group learned about the new College & Career Centers in Milwaukee Public Schools from Superintendent Dr. Darienne Driver and other MPS leaders. Attendees donated school supplies to help prepare students for life after high school.

The Emerging Readers program, launched by the Emerging Leaders, provides an opportunity to make a positive impact in the life of a local child by sharing the joy of reading. Register to be matched with a child at a partner agency, then participate in a book donation four times a year (October, December, February, and April).
For the book drops: Choose 2-3 items of age-appropriate, new or gently-used reading materials for the child and include hand-written notes of encouragement or book reviews.
