Event Spotlight: CIO Forum

The Technology United CIO Forum was held on February 15 with over 275 technology professionals in attendance. The event featured panel discussions with prominent CIOs on technology trends and strategies. The event’s generous sponsors contributed more than $240,000 to United Way’s Community Fund. Volunteer with LINC!


   
Join LINC, United Way’s young professional network, on Saturday, March 30 at Friedens' Community Ministries' food pantry for a day of volunteering, both in the food pantry and serving hot meals to guests. Sign up to volunteer here

Diversity Leadership Society & Policy Committee Community Forum

The Diversity Leadership Society and United Way’s Policy Committee are hosting a community forum on Friday, March 15 with Senator Alberta Darling and State Representative Evan Goyke about their bipartisan expungement reform legislation.

Applications for Project LEAD's spring session are open. This seven-week training prepares community members for leadership roles on nonprofit boards and committees. Applications and supporting materials are due March 1, 2019. Email Samantha Mitchell with any questions.

Partnership MKE Applications Open
Built on the legacy of The Mosaic Project (2000–2010), Partnership MKE, in collaboration with the Milwaukee Jewish Federation, aims to break down barriers and destroy bias by pairing individual community leaders across lines of race, age, religion, sexual orientation, and culture. The program will guide participants through an eight-month process of relationship, understanding, and trust-building.

VITA Volunteer Training
Volunteer with the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program to help connect individuals and families to much-needed refunds. Learn more and register as an intake screener.


VITA Super Saturday
On Saturday, March 23 from 9:00am to 2:00pm, United Way's Johnson Controls Volunteer Center will be hosting Super Saturday, an event that welcomes the community to receive free tax prep and a variety of other services.
