For the first time ever, United Way of Greater Milwaukee served as a film sponsor at the Milwaukee Film Festival.   They sponsored the film The Starfish Throwers directed by Jesse Roesler. The documentary focuses on the lives of 3 people and how they are making a difference to end hunger and homelessness in their communities. “It was an honor to be able to partner with Milwaukee Film Fest in such a meaningful way,” said Nicole Angresano, VP of Community Impact at United Way. After the screening of the film, Angresano along with Fondy Food Center Exec Young Kim and Sharon Adams of Hunger Task Force hosted a community panel to talk about the food needs here in Greater Milwaukee.  “United Way is committed to building long-term solutions that are going to make fewer people in the community hungry” She said.
