March is Virtual Volunteering Month at United Way. Check out these projects that you can do from your desk, your couch... anywhere!

  1. Write a Note of Encouragement to a Student Learning to Read. Encourage a young student to read from wherever you are! Notes will be delivered to youth in programs at Boys & Girls Clubs of Milwaukee through March 26th.
  2. Provide Online Career Coaching to High School Students. Through Inspire Southeast Wisconsin, Career Coaches communicate with local students through a monitored online platform and answer questions about careers, chime in on career-focused discussion boards, share educational history, and more.
  3. Be a Mentor of the Future. Mentor2.0 at Big Brothers Big Sisters is a technology-enriched mentoring program helping high school students graduate and succeed in both college and the workforce by providing support and guidance.
  4. Share Your Web Design Skills. The Nonprofit Center of Milwaukee is looking for a skilled volunteer to give their website a makeover to streamline and simplify their home page. Short- or Long-term volunteer position; virtual with some in-person meetings.
  5. Help with Research and Fact-checking. HOPE Network needs assistance publishing their information guide for single-mother families. Gather information, check facts, and update resources and information on community events.
