Emerging Leaders' Day of Action

Emerging Leaders' Day of Action

United Way's annual Day of Action, presented by the Emerging Leaders, is a family-friendly volunteer opportunity where hundreds of individuals in our community harness the volunteer spirit to improve local conditions and build stronger communities to live in.

Opportunity at a Glance

In the past, Day of Action volunteers have created literacy kits; planted garden beds to foster civic pride and promote affordable, healthy food choices; assembled a Born Learning Trail; and much more!

Last year, more than 50 individuals came together to assemble 1,200 Parent Engagement kits, beautify Lincoln Avenue School's playground, and refresh four classrooms with new paint. Thank you to all the volunteers who joined us for our 2017 Day of Action!
