Everyone has that favorite outfit. The one that makes you feel like you can take on the world. Maybe it is a dress that fits you perfectly, or a skirt in a pattern you love.

If you’re like most people, you probably also have a lot of clothing that you don’t wear.

United Way’s Women United group is leading the charge to help you clean out your closet for a good cause.

As you’re cleaning out your closets this spring, we ask that you set aside your gently used women’s professional clothing to benefit the clients of our agency partners. A piece you bought but only wore once could be the confidence boost another woman needs to ace her job interview, or to start her new job on the right foot.

Professional clothing items in all sizes and for all seasons will go to help women at the following agencies succeed:

Cathedral Center

Meta House

The Women’s Center (Waukesha)

YWCA Southeast Wisconsin

Donations can be dropped off at United Way through June 30:

Milwaukee location – 225 W. Vine Street, Milwaukee

Waukesha location – 1717 Paramount Drive, Waukesha
