It’s finally summer! Enjoy the sunny skies, warm weather, and time with family and friends by joining United Way for some all-ages fun this month:

  1. Calling all retirees! Join United Way’s Retire United group for the 4th annual Retiree Day of Service. Volunteers will pack caregiver support kits and meet and mix with like-minded community members. June 20th, 10am-12pm, United Way-Milwaukee Office. Register here.
  2. Give a local school a makeover on Day of Action. Join United Way’s Emerging Leaders for a family-friendly day of beautification projects at Lincoln Avenue Elementary, a Milwaukee Community Schools partner. Kids welcome. June 21st, 2:00-5:00PM. Register here.
  3. Cheer on the Lakeshore Chinooks! Join United Way at Kapco Park as the Chinooks take on the Green Bay Bullfrogs. This family-friendly event will be fun for all ages! Use your Impact Coupon for Buy One Get One tickets at the door or purchase tickets online (BOGO not available for online purchase). June 26th, 6:35pm, Kapco Park at Concordia University.
  4. Be the first to enjoy BistroPlex, a revolutionary new restaurant near Southridge Mall that “serves movies.” Join Marcus Theaters for a delicious meal and movie before it opens for the public. All proceeds go to benefit Food Stability programs supported by United Way. June 28th, 5:30pm. Buy tickets here.
  5. Clean your closet for a good cause. United Way’s Women United group is collecting gently used professional clothing to help local women find employment. All sizes and season of clothing are needed. Drop off your items at United Way’s Milwaukee office all month.

Looking to garden, read with kids, serve a meal, or run a donation drive? Check out our Volunteer website for hundreds of other ways to get involved in June…and all year long!
