The Milwaukee Film Festival documentary United Way sponsored thanks to gracious support from Johnson Controls, has won a special award.

Romeo is Bleeding, took home the Allan H. (Bud) and Suzanne L. Selig Audience Award for feature film. The film, which focuses on the impact of gun violence, was chosen out of a 100 feature films.

Thanks again to Johnson Controls for the gracious sponsorship allowing United Way to partner with the Milwaukee Film Fest. As part of our sponsorship, we distributed more than 150 free tickets to our agency partners to watch Romeo is Bleeding and held a post-film panel discussion on October 3.

Johnson Controls is United Way of Greater Milwaukee & Waukesha County's largest corporate donor.
