Mission

Literacy Services of Wisconsin partners with motivated adults to provide access to quality basic education and skills training so they can improve their lives, enrich their families, and strengthen our community.

Aligned Work

Literacy services of Wisconsin provides education, training, and credentials by helping adults earn a GED, learn a trade, or obtain industry recognized certifications. LSW’s Comprehensive Services Model provides a coordinated framework for adults at varying academic levels who seek to strengthen foundational math and reading skills for workforce engagement. Upon completion, students submit an official application to DPI that includes a portfolio demonstrating mastery of required competencies and a formal letter of request resulting in a state-verifiable high school diploma that is equivalent in standing to a diploma issued by a traditional K–12 institution. (Reducing Barriers to Employment & Advancement)
