Alex Molinaroli is one of four outstanding co-chairs of our 2015 Community Campaign. He shares how easy it is to get involved and why donating to the Community Fund is so important.

Why should people choose United Way?

I have seen firsthand the difference United Way can make through the employees at Johnson Controls, which is why I encourage my employees at Johnson Controls to give back.

United Way mobilizes the resources generously donated by Johnson Controls employees to the Community Fund to create lasing change where it’s needed most. I give to United Way because I trust their oversight and know my dollars will be used wisely.

In light of the recent merger, what would you like to say to Waukesha County residents regarding their gifts to United Way?

Your gift to United Way of Greater Milwaukee & Waukesha County will allow us to help more people in our community.

Our recent merger allows us to maximize our customer service and increase our operational efficiency, ultimately resulting in more dollars available for funding programs that improve lives and strengthen communities in the four-county region.

Why should people donate to the Community Fund?

Donating to the Community Fund is the most efficient and powerful way to invest in your community. It is also the best way for United Way to leverage donor dollars strategically.

Look at Kyle’s success story for example. It took three United Way-funded agencies working together to provide Kyle’s family with the support they needed. IMPACT 2-1-1 helped them find YWCA transitional housing, YWCA’s program helped Kyle secure work and taught him about home ownership so they could make a smooth transition to Community Advocates’ permanent housing program. One designation would have not helped Kyle’s family.
