GE Volunteers Provide Speed Mentoring to Students

Main Content

United Way’s IT United members hosted their 3rd annual Technology Career Fair Tuesday night; we had over 140 students ready to learn and over 40 volunteers ready to share their experiences in technology.

The local agencies that participated were the Girl Scouts, PEARLS for Teen Girls, Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Milwaukee, COA Youth & Family Centers, and Lead to Succeed.

GE Healthcare’s participation this year included speed mentoring sessions led by Lou Ortega, Hemlata Tripathi and Dave Simono. GE Healthcare also led a technology demo for the first time and many thanks Steve Abitz from the Advance Manufacturing Engineering team for helping to create a demonstration of additive manufacturing.
