Griselda Aldrete, Executive Director, Hispanic Professionals of Greater Milwaukee

“She is improving the future of Hispanics in Milwaukee, and ultimately making Milwaukee a stronger community.”

Griselda Aldrete’s passion for education and giving back to the Hispanic community is palpable.  Under her leadership, Griselda has grown Hispanic Professionals of Greater Milwaukee (HPGM) into a locally and nationally recognized organization, making her a key community collaborator.  Her passion for education and Milwaukee’s community is deeply rooted, having volunteered her time with the Mexican Fiesta/Wisconsin Scholarship Fund to help raise funds for Hispanic youth attending college since she was 17.

Jon Donahue, Vice President, Wealth Management, Johnson Bank

“Believe me.. Milwaukee is lucky to count Jon as one of our emerging leaders.”

Jon Donahue’s dedication to community service makes him stand out as a leader in our community. Jon is a member of PAVE (Partners Advancing Values in Education)’s Board Corps – a new initiative that empowers Milwaukee professionals to make a real impact by serving on the boards of high-potential independent schools. Jon extends his generosity away from home, volunteering in orphanages overseas.

Anne Martinelli, MD, OB/GYN Specialist, Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare

“She came to our rescue just like a knight in shining armor.”

Anne Martinelli is a strong advocate for breaking the cycle of abuse, neglect and poverty of women and children.  As an Executive Board Member of the Safe Babies Healthy Families, she is a vocal ambassador in the community on the importance of appropriate prenatal care.  Anne extends her impact globally, serving as an active medical missionary with Hearts in Motion, providing medical care for impoverished women and children.

Derek Mosley, Municipal Court Judge, Milwaukee Municipal Court

“He’s a true example of the impact behind giving of time, talent and treasure.”

Derek Mosley’s passion and advocacy for people in this community runs deep.  Beyond the courtroom, he created a Youth Development Boot Camp for juvenile offenders and helped establish a community court in Milwaukee.  In his effort to break the cycle, Derek speaks to students at MPS on a range of topics regarding laws that affect youth, including the dangers of sexting.

Joe Villmow, President and CEO, EmpowerMe Foundation

“Joe changed my life in unimaginable and immeasurable ways.. he makes students’ (like myself) dreams come true.”

Joe Villmow is committed to empowering youth in our community.  Diagnosed with dyslexia as a child, Joe overcame his challenges through the help of a mentor and achieved his mission – to graduate from Marquette University.  Joe founded EmpowerMe to help students reach their highest potential by teaching them the critical business and life skills he learned that led to his personal success.
