IT United

IT United members are information technology professionals who have a desire to make difference in our community through contributions, advocacy and volunteerism.

Member Criteria

  • Yearly contribution at a Leadership Level of $1,200 or above
  • Professional in the information technology industry

Member Benefits

  • Recognition in the United Way Leadership Registry (optional) with an IT United mark.
  • Invitations to additional educational and volunteer opportunities.


  • CIO Forum: Annual breakfast networking event featuring panel discussions of prominent area CIOs discussing key technology trends and strategies. The event raised more than $85,000 for United Way in 2015.
  • Technology Career Fair: Annual event for high school students featuring round table discussions led by IT United volunteers, as well as demonstrations by IT partners. Sponsored by UWM – School of Information Studies, a strategic partnership to encourage youth to pursue secondary education.

  • Become an IT United Member: Contact Jessica Wagner-Schultz via email or at 414.263.8211 to join.
  • Join the IT United Council: Expectations for this role include quarterly meetings, committee work to increase IT United membership, and input to develop volunteer programs. Complete form
  • Share Your Skills with Youth: Join IT United volunteers in helping encourage Milwaukee middle and high school students to pursue careers in technology. Complete form
  • Partner with a Local Nonprofit: IT United volunteers are needed to provide tech support to United Way’s agency program partners. Complete form
